Sweet Summertime!

I haven't really been blogging since I have had a lack of comments posted. I still think the majority of people have no idea I had to get a new blog so everyone is looking at my old blog where the last post was about me having a boy. Now that that boy is 4 months old people are wondering why I haven't posted. So hopefully, you have found my new blog that I have and will keep updated...sigh, what a mess its been!

Anyways I thought I would fill you in on what the Davis clan has been up to. Not much just doing the average summer activities. We took Mason to Hill Air Force Base to look at the planes and he loved it! He is so into planes right now. Also, of course went home for the 4th of July, and then the rest of the summer just pretty much swimming. Mason had his first swimming lessons where the parents were not in the class. He was sort of timid about the water but by the end of the two weeks wasn't scared at all. He had a hard time going under the water until I bribed him with getting ice cream if he did. Now he expects ice cream everytime :)

I keep saying, this is what summer looks like!

Parker has been quite busy. He works for a home health agency and does morning and night visits as an aide but just recently got a job in the office also Mon-Fri noon to 5. Its such an added blessing to our lives. His work has been so awesome and we are glad we have finally gotten a good job that will hopefully work out until he gets done with school. He still loves playing soccer and is always looking for a game to play in throughout the week. For the summer I let him buy an XBox so of course this is what he mostly does on his free time with his friends. It's ok because I find ways to waste my time too. Lastly the Harry Potter fanatic of the family got to see the last movie. I was lucky to go with him and the movie was amazing!

Katie has a new addiction called pinterest! I love being on it and getting ideas for everything and anything! I am still working at the storage units and juggling work, kids, and school. I have one more semester til I can apply to a nursing program! My kids are my life and they make me laugh everyday!

Mason is so funny. He is developing such a vocabulary. He says the funniest things. Recently he has been trying to tell knock knock jokes. Even though they are not funny at all, it makes me laugh. He is also such a good big brother to Paxton. He helps his Mom out a lot with him.

Paxton will be 4 months tomorrow! I have no idea where the time is. He is such a strong baby. He loves to stand and has really good balance. He can roll from his back to stomach but doesn't like to because he gets stuck on his stomach. He is also such a smiley baby. He is cooing and talking a lot now. He also goes to bed like a champ and sleeps till 5:30 in the morning. We had a rough start with him being so fussy but now he is such a good little boy!
Till next Post.....................C-YA!!!!

Spring into Soccer

For our family Spring means soccer. This time it was not just Parker though, Mason had his very first soccer season and it was definitely interesting. Parker always said he wouldn't get frustrated watching him, but he did. He just wants his son to be amazing and well lets just say him along with the other preschoolers get very distracted :) Mason might have scored only one goal, and it might have been for the other team, but it was so fun for him to play. There were 3 other kids from our Ward and also the coach so it was great to know someone. Mason is excellent at flopping and pouting on the ground (we are working on that). His team was the Black Tigers. I have no idea how many goals were scored or what team even won any of the games, but they all had a blast. Parker also is in soccer, your probably thinking well duh, but sadly I haven't been able to go to one game this season so no pictures for him. Oh well, Mason is cuter right ;)

Paxton's beautiful Blessing

Today was Paxton's blessing. It was exciting especially for Parker to bless him since he couldn't bless Mason. He gave him such a beautiful blessing. We have such a supportive family. We had many family and friends come to attend and we are so thankful they could share this special day.

As of lately...

we have had quite a fun weekends, enjoying the sorta spring weather. These first are at the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. This is actually the only weekend in April that was good weather! It would be a lot cooler if the price was cheaper. We had a cousins day, and enjoyed getting together.

The following weekend my parents were at my sister Kellie's house for Easter so we went up for the weekend to visit them and have an Easter egg hunt and decorate eggs.

After church we had a hunt with our neighbor
Yesterday was my brother's birthday and we were going to go to Hogle Zoo with the kids but it was 35 degrees and snowing when we were up there. Plans changed and we went to the Mayan to eat, and went to the movies and saw Rio. Such a good movie by the way, go see it!

Introducing Paxton Bryce Davis

Paxton is finally here and we couldn't be more thrilled! Well he is already a week old today, but I am finally getting around to posting it. I was scheduled to be induced on Saturday March 19. I went into the hospital and wasn't given pitocin till about 9. 10:30 Dr. broke my water and I got an epidural and at about 2:15 I was ready to push. The Dr. was delivering another baby so I had to just sit and wait and the nurse ordered me not to push at all because he might come out. At 2:50 the Dr. came and I started pushing, 9 minutes later Paxton arrived at 2:59 p.m. He were shocked when he weighed 9 lbs 3 oz and was 21 inches long! Keep in mind this is me also only at 39 weeks. I don't think I will past 39 ever!  I don't want to try to push a 10lber! I was able to come home from the hospital on my birthday, my little guy is the best present I have ever gotten. He is so adorable. There is so much more I could say and I wrote up a whole birth story, but I am pretty sure that would bore everyone to death! Anyways the slide show is picture overload of this entire past week of visitors and the hospital. We got his newborn photos done last week so I will be posting those soon.

It's official, I can now have my baby!

Yes, this baby can come any day now! I am 37 weeks which is considered full term and my Mom is back from Cancun so I keep telling him whenever he wants to come out he can! Ok actually I am begging him! I guess I will start the walking, eating pineapple, spicy foods, and the stuff I will leave in the bedroom! There really are some hilarious myths to get labor started. One of my favorites was to practically steam your "ya ya" with coffee vapor! Today I also officially got every last minute thing done. My diaper bag finally came in the mail, I got another nursing bra, and finished the boys room. Take a look at the pictures. I practically made everything. I am pretty impressed with my skills, especially for a first timer!

I am wanting to do one last thing to the room and do a big chunky wooden scrapbooky frame under their names in vinyl. Anyone see the vision I am trying to explain?
I wanted matching bedding so finding a crib and twin is impossibly so I resorted to making matching quilts. I splurged too and made them out of minky :)
I made the vinyl sign and we spray painted the frames, but we are waiting to pictures in them till after baby gets here.
The bottom of the dresser is still getting fixed, I wouldn't just leave it like that!!
I went to target and had too much fun buying the lamp, curtains, and bin to make a nice changing table.
